season3finalething spoilers season 3 ep 12 evil is going on

So long season 3! Bloody swell to know ya!

I was going to put a purple spoiler banner on this article but really, I don’t think it deserves one. Some of the True Blood actors shared some info on the True Blood season 3 finale that will air this Sunday. Behold:

“I can tell you that there’s going to be a lot of blood, a lot of sex, and a lot of people are going to die,” Joe Manganiello told MTV News at HBO’s Emmy bash last week. “Blah, blah, blah, vampire stuff.”

Will his crazy ex-girlfriend, Debbi Pelt, survive the episode? “That would be a good question for Alan [Ball],” Manganiello said. Deftly deflected, Joe.

Fan favorite Nelsan Ellis (a.k.a. Lafayette) agreed about the blood factor. “There’s going to be a lot of blood and bite,” Ellis said.

“I’d say it’s crazier than last year’s finale,” Jim Parrack (sweet-as-pie Hoyt Fortenberry) added. “Wilder than last year’s.”

Todd Lowe, who plays PTSD-suffering war vet Terry, shared some insight into what his character will be up to. “You’ll probably see some more tears,” Lowe revealed. “And we’ll see where they’re coming from.” Arlene? A possible war flashback?

As for Pam, the saucy queen of killer one-liners, actress Kristin Bauer shared that her character will be in the midst of a fight — both physical and emotional. “For Pam, the next two episodes, she’s trying — she’s in an emotional battle and a physical battle trying to save Eric. It’s quite something,” she said. “There are some twists and turns that happen. It’s really clever.”

Marshall Alman’s summary wins the award for most succinct tease: “I can tell you that Tommy definitely gives Sam a run for his money.”

Meanwhile, Kevin Alejandro wins the award for juiciest tidbit. “You actually find out what kind of person I am,” he said of his character, Jesus. “It’s good stuff.”

Regarding his reaction to finding out his character’s new “arc,” Alejandro said it was cool. “I’ve never done anything like it. I kinda knew a little bit about it beforehand, so it’s fun,” he explained. “[I did] a lot of research to figure out how to go this route, but it’s good stuff. I think you’ll be really impressed and surprised.”

Finally, the award for most vague tease goes to series stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.

“Lots of stuff [happens]!” Paquin exclaimed.

“Some great Eric and Bill moments,” Moyer added. “We’re not supposed to tell you.”

Paquin echoed Moyer’s statement, adding that they’d prefer to keep their jobs rather than spoil or reveal any secrets. Good for them; too bad for us.

With special thanks to Pam for being awesome.

What do you think will happen in the True Blood season 3 finale?

    I think one of the twists and turns will be Pam giving Sookie her blood so that she can go out and save Eric. I certainly hope not, as I want Bill to do it. I don’t want a bond/tie or whatever between Sookie and Pam.

    Re the sex, didn’t Joe say once that he and Debbie have a sex scene?

    I do certainly hope AB gives us Bill people a bone and have him and Sookie a huge sex scene – maybe after he kills off QSA??

    It is making me nervous just thinking about the finale!

    Nope, I am still holding out for Pam to be Sookie’s blood donor. As I said before, it establishes a new three-way blood bond that would serve the S4 plotting well, if the rumours pan out and Pam and Sook both tend a brain-addled Eric . Although I cringe at the notion of a dopefied, Sookie-cradled Viking, I could take it for a while (2 eps absolutely maximus) if Pam were on the scene.

    On the subject of blood-bonding: Good question Sook asked in her latest Eric dream. Does the blood bond ever wear off? If iy doesn’t, dreams could get awfully crowded with dream lovers vying for your attention.

      I wonder if Dr Ludwig can be of help? Wasn’t she doing experiments with Vamp blood? Maybe she can come up with a solution to rid Sookie of unwanted Vamp blood.

      (I want Sookie to be a one blood girl – Bill’s!)

  3. I simply can’t wait for Sunday to arrive and I think that Sookie is going to save Eric, they do have a bond and I am in love with this idea!! I just can’t wait…

    I’m with y0ou Liv, nothing here spolierish. Except maybe the thing with thing with Terry, but not even that. These actors have gotten really good at teasing.
    I’d love, love love to see a Terry B Marine Corps flashback. He was so emotional back in S1 when he was listening to Bill speak of the Civil War.
    Of course that would mean cutting his hair and well, we know how wrong that can go :P

    I’m over Sookie being drained and loaded up with vamp blood. Even by TB’s own rules I’m thinking Sookie should’ve been turned by now. I’m guessing Sook gets some magical fairy water or something else ‘neater’ (in a Virgo way, not in a ‘omg cool’ way) because her face and mouth are clean in the new promo stills and we know she’s a messy eater. But who knows, maybe Pam gives her a wetnap after.

    Sex? I so believe we were promised wolf sex at one point.

      I’d love to see a Terry B flashback as well. Maybe they could just put a helmet on him and do it eh?

      I am also growing tired of the Sooks being drained. And with this whole sunlight walking thing, seems like we’ll be in for more. At least we can see why all vampires want her now. I never really thought the telepath thing was all that alluring. I’m OK with Pam doing the replentishment. It would open up a brand new angle to the triangle, octagon or what-have-you.

      I also remember someone (Alex?) saying there would be a flashback scene of Eric in a 1980s disco with someone surprising. Either that’s one of the great Eric and Bill moments Moyer is referring to or they were just yanking our chains.

      • Lividity says:

        Holy crap I totally forgot about that. I so hope it’s Eric/Bill 80′s stylin! And if they were just yankin our chains, well… that’s just plain mean!

      • Jana says:

        He said it would be cool if they do some kind of 80′s disco scene. Sadly, he never said that they actually filmed such scene. :(

        • Acanthus says:

          I think our collective legs were bing pulled. Disco was dead in the ’80s. Bill and Eric turning up looking like superannuated Abba fans in platform shoes and bell-bottoms is just too tragic to contemplate ;-) Add a blond afro and a brunette one to the mental image, and you too will be glad Alex was ‘yoking’, sure, you bet you.

          • cr says:

            That’s 70′s disco scene, not 80′s. So if they weren’t in leather it’d probably be torn jeans. And by the 80′s it had been renamed house or dance music.

            I think AS mentioned that in a EW interview at the end of ’09, that’ d he like to see a flashback to the 80′s in a club in Berlin.

          • Acanthus says:

            If the reference was made to a club in Berlin, then disco-ball disco has nothing to do with anything. It’s all Euro-cool post Checkpont Charlie Berlin. So not a disco scene – cool, intellectual, Modernist Brutalism,/Deconstructionsim historicism – all those blah blah Berlin scene blah isms. I could see Eric there. Bill would look like an uncomfortable, vaguely disapproving American tourist.

          • TBObsessed says:

            Maybe I didn’t read the original post, I was trying to avoid spoilers. I just remember seeing people discussing it in comments and speculating who would be accompanying him. Disco was still going in the very early ’80s and I thought dance clubs continued to be called discos in Europe for a long time.

            *tries to imagine Eric in a Parisian Night Suit*

    • Acanthus says:

      Good point about Sookie’s clean face. No Toilettes in sight, so you may well be brilliantly on the mark with fairy mineral water. Claudine keeps taking credit for saving Sookie, maybe it’s time to show us.

      Yes, it had occurred to me, that by TB rules, Bill and Sookie’s last drain exchange should have/would have turned a human. I’m thinking this fairy kinship is going to be the catch-all explanation for everything.

      * Sookie is cute but ordinary, but she’s inexplicably irresistible to supes
      * Sookie can’t be turned
      * Sookie doesn’t get sick
      * When she’s on V she can overpower a were-bitch also on V.
      * No matter what, her hair and make-up never budge. Now THAT’s supernatural.

    I can’t wait for sunday ,or in my case monday, to watch this finale – have got the kleenex ready again . But don’t think everything is going to be resolved in this episode …it’s already been hinted that there will be a few cliffhangers to plot lines !

  6. flexy633 says:

    I also have to wait unti lMonday night because I don’t have HBO. A co-worker records it for us. That’s why most of the time, I don’t come on here to read or comment because sometimes I’m a week behind on the episodes. :-(
