spoilerMinor spoilers that probably will surprise no one… just reportin’

Question: Season 3 has barely started, but I am dying for some True Blood news. Got any to share?
Exec producer Alan Ball teases that a big secret Bill’s “been carrying with him gets revealed at the end of the season.”

Question: Have you received confirmation from Alan Ball that Talbot and Eric will get, ahem, down to business on True Blood this season?
No, but I haven’t received a denial from him, either. “I think one of the things about being a vampire and living for 100 years is you pretty much try everything,” Ball says. “Whether or not [Talbot and Eric] end up getting together I can’t reveal. I’ll definitely tell you that this season is pretty pansexual.” Yeah, got that bit from the first two episodes.

from Ausiello, who else?

Yay for pansexual vamps! Talbot is hot and will be hot with whoever….

  2. lizzie1701 says:

I hope the secret Bill has been carrying is different from the books as I hate for Bill to be “bashed” continually. He needs to be “The Vamp”! I want it to be a surpise for us all.

    • billsbaby says:

Let’s face it, Lizzie….he’s going to be bashed no matter what. He’s bashed for not being vampire enough, then when he does something vampirish he gets bashed for that. He’s bashed and called “boring” when he’s with Sookie. He’s bashed for “keeping secrets” while others are excused for the same thing. He’s bashed for things he hasn’t even done yet and maybe won’t even do.

I’m not so sure the “big secret” will be what book readers expect it to be. I don’t see how his secret can be any worse (or even as bad) as Eric’s selling V and lying about it and sending someone to kidnap and maybe kill Bill. But we’ll just have to wait and see.

  3. TeamSookie says:

I want to see how the Talbot/Eric scene plays out lol. Looks like it will go down at the mansion too, where the he’ll is RE? this won’t go well lol

  4. Melly80 says:

    who the fuck is talbot??

    • michele says:

what??? talbot is the king of mississippi’s partner. he was showing bill around the mansion in show 2

    • CitizenErased says:

Russell’s camp husband who likes decorating and haute cuisine. Liv, nice job on the provocative title. Bill’s secret is hardly a secret, since we’ve been repeatedly reminded of it by certain zealous Bookies for the last two years. Everyone knows, which is deadly boring, so they’d be better off putting some unique twist on it.

      • Fooledbylove says:

You mean we have to wait until the end of the season to discover that Bill is a big ol’ lying, sneaking, abusing pile of stink? No fair!! (*stomps foot*) I wanted the shower scene THIS season! (just joking ya’ll)

I agree that AB HAS to put a spin of some sort on it. Whatever it is, I’m sure it will drive a wedge between Bill and ol’ Sooks, but perhaps his motivation will be one that makes him slightly more redeemable than he is in the books. I’m actually looking forward to it – I like my characters to be multi-layered interesting individuals – every single one of them.

      • Lividity says:

Thanks, I do what I can and you know I just love to say pansexual ;)

  5. BillsNia says:

Pansexual will play out to be the hit of the season!!
As for the secret, well we all know what that is and it is better that they just get it over already.

  6. Samantha says:

For the love of all that is sacred and right with the world, please let Bill be AVL ! Just the thought of my man Bill and my girl Nan Flanagan working together makes this fangirl’s heart go a-flutter.

As for the books, if CH takes the story where I think she is taking it, then Bill’s secret won’t be that big of a deal in the end. It will have just been a bump in the road that kept them apart for a bit until Sookie could get over her self-esteem issues and realize that she is worthy and deserving of the love that Bill has for her.

  7. TeamSookie says:

Don’t wish for that yet, were not sure exactly what the AVL is all about. We know there is a shadow government and they run the show, and even the real power behind the Kings and Queens. They might just be formed by the shadow government just to put up a front to humans. We saw the image that Nan portrays on TV is a different, look how at the simple fact of how different she looked and she obviously cleans up vamps messes so they can continue to put on a front for humans. I’m sure we will find out more when the shadow government is revealed and also when Nan goes to Fangtasia and talks to Eric.

    • Lividity says:

Eh, I’m gonna go out on a limb and wish for it anyway. More Nan and less QSA can only be a good thing, no matter how evil or not the AVL is. I’d like to see King Russell and Nan Flanagan go toe to toe. Maybe even do a bit of wrestling or alternatively, stand side by side in their united goal to take over the world.

      • TeamSookie says:

Anything is possible and Nan’s meeting with Eric is a bit peculiar. I wonder if it has to do anything with the major news announcement about vampires in episode 8.

I’ve seen people mention the Bill/ AVL theory a couple of times. Is it that the file he had was from the AVL? Or he was sent by QSA and he takes on the mission and pretending to go along with her but really he has a different motive?

    • ccoppe says:

      Great point about AVL.

The scope of their power and objectives are — I believe — not even known to vampires as powerful as RE. If you take another look at the pic of Nan “talking” with Eric at Fangtasia, note the cameras on either side of Nan Flanagan. As someone with a legal background, that scene looks like a deposition, not a conversation. AVL projects the image of an advocacy organization to the world. However, I think Eric discovers that it — and Nan — are much more powerful that he ever wanted to believe.

Unraveling the true nature of AVL is, I hope, the “twist” on Bill’s original motives toward Sookie.

  8. crystal says:

in terms of the show bills secret HAS to be reveled becasue it’s just a huge part of the show, and Plus I whant to see quinn, and I what to see how they will develop bills storyline in the next few seasons. I whould kind of enjoy seeing sookie and bills ” other” friend interact. Team billl.

  9. FFL says:

I’m telling you all, Bill’s a double agent and he’s really working for the fae. Why won’t anyone believe me? ;-

    • lizzie1701 says:

That may be the reason he was in BT, FFL, and would explain his desperate need to protect Sookie! All the way through the seasons, he is on about protecting her!

      • FFL says:

“…..Sook-ay MUST be protected!…..” That was in the first season, and he was pretty adamant about it then.

  10. NCB says:

Maybe Bill isn’t working for anyone and has his own agenda that’s separate from the Queen, King, AVL and even fae. I’m sure AB will make it interesting and dramatic.
