Evan Rachel Wood spoke at the HBO Winter 2011 TCA Panel

Evan Rachel Wood gave some spoilers about her fight with Bill when asked by reporters following her 2011 Winter TCA panel for her HBO miniseries “Mildred Pierce” held at the Langham Hotel, yesterday. Read more if you want or can’t resist being spoilered!

Evan Rachel Wood has said “True Blood” fans can expect an “epic” fight between her character, Queen Sophie Anne of Louisiana, and Stephen Moyer’s Bill Compton, when the show returns this summer.

“Of course there will be a resolution. And we’ll just have to wait and see what happens, but it will be epic,” Evan said of the fight scene between the two vampires that began just as Season 3 of the Alan Ball series wrapped up last fall, when asked by reporters following her 2011 Winter TCA panel for her HBO miniseries “Mildred Pierce.”

While she couldn’t reveal plot details, she said she has a feeling Queen Sophie Anne, who makes her living illegally pushing vampire blood, may have a reversal of fortunes.

“I think she’ll get what she deserves,” Evan laughed.

Evan revealed she’s filmed one episode so far, reuniting with Stephen.

“It’s been great. It’s one of the funnest sets I’ve worked on,” she said of being back. “[There’s]’s just always something crazy [happening].”

There will be “lots of blood,” she added.

The actress, who is also cast in a March 2011 HBO miniseries, “Mildred Pierce,” said she’s glad to be back on set of the vampire show.

“‘True Blood’ is just a blast; it’s fun; it’s scary; it’s sexy; it’s hilarious,” she said.

I’m looking forward to watching Mildred Pierce. What did I ever do before HBO?

  2. Lividity says:

Epic eh? Somehow I think only one vampire will walk away ;)

She sums it up nicely: “‘True Blood’ is just a blast; it’s fun; it’s scary; it’s sexy; it’s hilarious,” she said.
AND, that is wy I love the show so much! Never gets dull and that’s a fact!

I will be bothered if the Queen dies in this fight. She is older and obviously powerful or she wouldn’t be a queen. Plus, I really enjoy her as a character. The way she wields authority over both vampires is refreshing. In Bon Temps and Shreveport, Eric and Bill are the big bads and it is nice to know that, after all is said and done, the boys who seem to control everything have to report to a woman. ;)

Being older and stronger doesn’t necessarily put you on top though. Pam was kicking Bill’s *ss cuz she brought her silver mace and fought dirty. and TB Pam isn’t even close to TBBill’s age. Eric is a lot older than QSA but he’s not king, so there ARE other factors. How ruthless, cunning, sneaky, backstabbing, and being able to recruit others to follow you…this all counts. LOL!

QSA siad she was twice Bill’s age? That puts her around 350 to 400 years old right? Other factors, he’s still a man and is taller and has a longer reach. She’s much smaller than him. Being stronger dosn’t matter if you can’t get a good grip on your opponent.

Me thinks Bill’s living room is going to need even more serious redecorating after this. *snicker*

      • Krissy says:

Pam is 100yrs old in TB. Bill was turned during the civil war. That would actually make them close in age in vampire years.

  5. Mark Hornsberry says:

“… Other factor’s he’s still a man” That’s not at all sexist is it. Clearly Sophie Anne has the upper edge considering her age. and how Vampires get stronger with age. In the vampire world weather you’re male or female it doesn’t matter, in terms of strength.

    • hdgcat says:

It’s not sexist at all, it’s just basic fighting principles. Having a longer reach gives you an advantage. She won’t be able to use her greater strength if she can’t reach Bill. Even if Eric and Bill were the same age, Eric would have the advantage by being taller and having a longer reach. Why do you think before a boxing match, they always list the lengthe of the fighers reach? *shrug*

Now obviously she’s older so we can assume she’s goingto be faster and stronger. That will be her advantage.

It’s not like she’s insanely older , like with Russell. Because Russell was SO much older than anyone else, any minor advantages were pointless.

Anyway, it should be an awesome fight and I can’t wait!!!

  6. Cranky says:

Good-bye Sophie Anne! May QSA have an “Epic” ending…as befits the character and may ERW go on to better things as befits the actress..

  7. Lizzie1701 says:

I really can’t wait to see this epic standoff!!

I enjoyed QSA and wish ERV the best.

  8. Ash says:

Hmm, epic… I think some clothes will be shed at the end of this fight, lol… that would be a great twist, that would just also fit in to with all the other crazyness that is TB! haha

  9. Jedihsm2 says:

It seems like she’s going to die. But she just can’t die yet!!!! It would ruin the story, thay have to live BOTH!!!!

  10. eloradannen says:

I think it is too early for the Queen to go, there is too much of her story left to tell, but that doesn’t mean I want Bill to die either. I am hoping someone will come in and stop it…maybe Andre? Bill is not going to be in a good situation either way. He has burned his bridges.
