The long wait is finally over! Behold the photos from THE BATTLE OF THE FANG!
Bill Compton narrowly beat out the Viking Eric Northman by only $829. Together, both teams competing in the Battle Of The Fang raised almost $70,000 for charity! As Bill Compton is the reining king, Stephen Moyer got to choose the t-shirts himself. As you can see, his chosen shirt reads, “I Like My Bitches Blonde” while Alex’s says simply, “Bill’s Bitch!” Both these dudes got a sense of humor, is all we’re sayin’.
Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård are amazed at the amount of contributions that their fans have donated. Alex, Stephen, Gulf Aid and SOS Children’s Villages all want to thank everyone who participated in The Battle Of The Fang. The Battle has surpassed all our expectations!
The success of The Battle Of The Fang has once again proven that True Blood fans, no matter which team they’re on, are the best! Alexander Skarsgård would like to see the fundraising in his honor go to SOS Children’s Villages, an organization that works to focus on children without parental care and children of families in difficult circumstances.
Both actors are good friends in real life and they demonstrate their good hearts and their sense of humor participating in this contest that is aimed to include any fan site, organization, or single fan who wants to work to benefit these two great causes.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU HOLD ON TO YOUR RECEIPT. If you donated $20.00, it will be viewed as four donations of $5.00 on event day, WHICH IS GOOD! The more you donate, the better your chances of winning. Donations will be accepted throughout the True Blood season; the contest will end immediately after the season finale.

All participants will be mentioned at the end of the event. The names of the donors and the participant Web sites will be sent to Alexander and Stephen once the game is over.
There will be one winner for the winner and loser, to be chosen at random. The t-shirt worn in the photograph will be signed and sent to these fans.

Actually I do not like this team thing again. It just creates animosity. They did not have to go to such lengths to ask us to donate to such a worthy cause.
I have already done so and then some. I believe that Bills girls would donate to both, thats just how we are, but I can assure you we would be alone in that thinking.
I think it adds an element of fun. I plan on donating to both myself but one particular side will get more. It’s giving and having fun with it! I think the people that get serious about this team stuff to the point of animosity need to relax and grow up. It’s all in good fun and for 2 good causes at that!

I totally agree Nia. Me and another Wiki’d woman donated to a cause and did not have a challenge to do it. The wonderfully generous person agreed to match funds for the art she purchased. I will not mention names so we can give animosity (Sorry if spelling is wrong). I asked about donating to one of his or mine and she told me to pick witch one. We sent it to make a wish and signed her name, mine and the whole group Bill’s Wiki’d Women. I want to include the girls who inspired me to give more and get involved. Stephen is an inspiration to, Not to mention Anna to. I love giving back. I really believe if you give you will get back in spades.( a lot). Just having friends like the Truebees is enough.

great cause. i feel however there is not enough private money to alleviate this situation. which is why i think that barack should seize BP assets, liquidate them and use the proceeds to help the people affected, effect the cleanup and use the reserves for the health care costs that will certainly result from this catastrophe.

Yes, I agree – I am giving to Bill’s charity just because it’s Bill. If he would have chosen some other charity I would have given more. The reason for that is because I believe the mess in the Gulf should be remedied by BP, and we should not be making BP’s life easier – i say au contraire, make their lives a living hell !

Thanks for dreaming this up. If Team Bill wins, does the Team Bill draw winner get a Moyer’s Muffin shirt with Swedish cooties? Or a Mrs. Skarsgard shirt with British cooties? Wouldn’t they rather have a Moyer’s Muffin shirt with British cooties? I guess anything with Stephen’s cooties would be fine with me.
I don’t like to get caught up in the team wars. I like both guys, although I lean towards Bill! I wasn’t going to participate until I saw Stephen was supporting the Gulf! I live on the Gulf Coast and although I’m not a beach person (I burn like a vampire!), I hate the thought of what the oil is going to do to the wildlife and the welfare of people who make their living through the fishing and tourist industry.
I was also happy to see him support that cause since I’ve been on other sites (non-True Blood) today and was disheartened to see British people who are only concerned about how this will affect their pensions and using it as another excuse to bash the U.S. So Stephen/Bill definitely has my votes!
TBObsessed please do not tar all british people with the same brush because of a few stupid , selfish comments small from a minority of people . As a very british person myself i can confirm that there are a lot more brits like the lovely Mr Moyer who are concerned about the disastrous situation in the Gulf and believe BP should get everything that’s coming to them !

Sarah, when I first heard the stories about the British feeling persecuted because of the oil spill, I thought it was just ridiculous media hype so I was shocked and disappointed to see that some really are buying it. I figured it wasn’t everyone, but it is good to hear from the more kind and sensible ones!

I’m donating to Stephen’s charity, while both are worthy, the people and ecosystem of the Gulf is in a dire situation. People are losing their livelihoods and families as well the the marshlands are facing something they may never recover from. The people from that area have depended on the waters of the gulf for their lives for countless generations and now the entire area is in danger of becoming the equivilant of a Dead Sea sustaining no life whatsoever. How sad large corporations are again ruining our home.

I can’t make a donation because we have an exchange of currency control policy in my country (yeah we live in the middle ages here) I need to ask for permission to buy a limited amount of dollars per year and I already bought and spent my share for this year! But honestly I wish I could and making Alex wear a Stephen’s shirt is the less important reason to do it… it is hreatbreaking to see what’s happening at the Gulf and people need to pay attention to it ASAP!!!

I am Team Bill but had to donate to both. I’ve donated to both many times actually. And I just donated to both again last night. I’ll continue to do so until the contest ends. I shared the battle of the fang with a good friend of mine whose a big fan of the Sookie Stackhouse novels as well as the True blood show. She was not aware of it she said it was a brilliant idea. So perhaps you’ll be getting more donations soon :D.
I find it SO ironic that Bill said in season one that vampires who “Nest” together are so much meaner…. Honestly Billsbabes, it’s all for a good cause. I like both vamps, but do prefer SM’s charity choice simply because it is our home turf and the Gulf Coast is suffering so horribly., I think many Eric fans feel the same way. Reminds me of the old Kennel Ration dog food commercial: a kid sing-songing a taunt: “My Dog’s Better than Your Dog” You can just picture the youngster sticking his thumbs in his ears and sticking his tongue out “Nanny Nanny Boo Boo!” “My Vampire’s better than yours”???? Childish. Eric is his own entity, Bill is his own entity… No comparison!!!
Let diplomacy prevail!!! Who knows what Alan Ball is going to do with Sookie??? He has taken the Harris books and made the stories his own. So many great twists and turns that are inspired by the books, but are NOT the books!!! We know he likes Bill Compton, and Stephen Moyer still is the second name on the billing. I predict she will end up with Bill down the road. Any good relationship is strongly influenced by the shite the couple goes through, that they weather and face and deal with as best they can — And Lordy, what shite they are going through now!!!!!

I have been pitching the sale all over the web for three days now: both causes are worthy, both!
I have posted, posted, facebooked, twittered, emailed and cajoled every friend and family member who has constantly gotten “cookie dough sales” from me.
I believe the causes to both be worthy of extra effort on behalf of the largest television viewing audience since the invention of the television! I have donated more to my personal favorite, but both causes are worthy of the American people.

Thank you so much for your reply. I think it is very important to track what “happens” with monies given to charity. It makes it so much easier to give a second time…if I know how much money goes for administration, etc.
I think it’s funny how Eric is winning every other poll I’ve seen except for this one…and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I’ve seen some Eric people complaining about how to donate to his charity of choice.
Oh for God’s sake. This Battle was for charity and both sides made large donations to the causes. Everyone was a winner here.
