[SinglePic not found] Anna Paquin has been cast to play Lila in the new indie film “The Romantics.” It starts filming this week in New York City and has plans to be released sometime in 2010.
The film centers on eight college friends who reunite for a wedding with Katie Holmes (who replaced Liv Tyler) as the maid of honor to Paquin’s bride. A romantic triangle figures in the storyline as both ladies have slept with the groom (Duhamel) in a project that appears to have the trappings of a modern day farce.
Joining Anna Paquin and Katie Holmes in the comedy, is a stellar cast of actors including Josh Duhamel, Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood, Adam Brody and Jeremy Strong.
The film will be directed by Galt Niederhoffer; the screenplay was adapted from her novel.

Eww, Katie Holmes aka brainwashed zombie woman. Anna will act her off the screen. Liv Tyler would have been sooo much better.
