Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer got married today.
What started out as a chemistry read for roles in True Blood bloomed into romance for Anna and Steve. They fell for each other the same way we fell for Bill the first time he walked into Merlotte’s. The chemistry and electricity between Steve and Anna was apparent from the start.
They flew back to their respective homes, far from each other, after filming the pilot. Steve realized how much he missed Anna: “During the show’s first season I had to go back to London and she went back to New York. I wish I had bought shares in Skype, because we Skyped every night for three or four hours. It felt as thought a part of me had been removed when Anna and I were apart.”
True Blood fans were aware of their relationship even before it became public. We watched with joy as Anna won the Golden Globe in 2009. Steve’s eyes never left her as she gave her speech and there was no doubt, he was madly in love. Photos of the event depicted Anna staring lovingly at him; it was clear how they felt about each other. Maybe they were shy about making their love public, but you can’t fool the fans … Their first appearance as a couple at the Vanity Fair party brought the excitement and joy of seeing them together in pictures, interviews and videos. Steve and Anna always show a good sense of humor, charm, and fun-loving natures. They’re real people and what you see is what you get. This is why we’ve come to love and adore them and find them a perfect match for each another.

Wow. It took a tweet from Denis O’Hare to convince me the wedding took place today. Now, just a couple of photos of the bride and groom and we’ll be happy. Purple seems to have been the color choice, right?

That’s great! Congrats to both of them! But I SO knew it was gonna be this week end, when Carrie Preston said in a show that they were going to get married “very soon”! Plus, the pics of all her family, and Anna shopping to “Agent Provocateur”! Methinks Stephen will have a great wedding night, lol!

Same here, Liz! I connected the dots as well when I saw Billy, Annas mum, shopping at Agent Providore, and now those pics taken of them at Malibu last week! Something had to be up!!
I thought so too that it’s gonna be this weekend and I’m very happy for them. I hope they’ll make it and wish them all the best. Even if the little girl inside me is a little sad that he’s off market now. :)

Just woke up a few minutes ago to read this. I too saw some significant signs of an impending wedding in the last few days. I couldn’t be more happy and thrilled for my favourite couple. I wish them a lifetime of happiness, they are so perfect for each other, true soulmates. I guess they will only have a few days or maybe a week until Steve has to go and film “The Big Valley” in Baton Rouge, but I hope they have an amazing honeymoon.
I too would love to see more wedding photos, but I respect their privacy. Too cool that Steve and friends went for a swim afterwards. The thought of them finally married fills me with such great joy.

A Hollywood based photographer that I follow (@JoanAllenPhoto) because of her beautiful work tweeted about the “gorgeous wedding” where she was doing the official photos yesterday. Then I see a woman in the paparazzi pics taking pictures this morning. Just wondering if she was the official photographer? If so the pictures will be awesome.

But they got married underneath the trees just in front of the tent.
And I don’t think “Moyer” is his real name. He said that before he believed in nothing, but then things happened in his life (the show, meeting Anna) that made him think there was maybe something… so he believes a little maybe? But I don’t know what is his religion though.
Moyer isn’t Stephen’s last name; it’s Emery. I’ve never read a single word about him being Jewish, but some of my more experienced Nest-mates can confirm or deny that one.

Sorry Marlene, but Steve is not a member of the tribe. It’s really Emery, not Moyer, and he was the head chorister in his Anglican church as a kid. That being said, the tribe would definitely welcome him, anytime.

his real last name is emery. and he has said that he is not religious. he most recently confirmed this in the playboy interview. he no longer calls himself atheist but just kind of says he doesn’t know what is out there. to me that could mean agnostic.

Did you guys know that Carrie Preston (Arlene) is the hottest search on google as of 1pm today? I heard she is also trending on twitter. Apparently it is because she was listed in the press release as the only star from the show who attended? I know from the pictures that a lot of the cast was there. Wierd. She is getting a huge amount of attention from this. Why was her name the only one listed? Again, Wierd. Does Anna and Stephen give the press this info? Oh, by the way congrats to S and A.

Have just opened my morning paper here in the UK and read this brilliant news . Congratulations to both Stephen and Anna .
Its very odd when Bill and Sookie are on the front page of the local podunk newspaper. Randomly, the leader of the Green Party in NZ was at the wedding as he’s married to Anna’s sister. I was thinking of voting for him anyway but now he’s Steve’s brother in law I’m sold!
It was on page 3 of the Sun in the UK ….just looking at pic links posted earlier and didn’t recognise Jack Davenport at first . Have had major crush on him for years too – oops !
Late getting to this thread, but I just had to add my congratulations and best wishes to Stephen and Anna!! They are such an adorable, beautiful couple and they deserve all the happiness in the world. This makes me very happy…..and I have never been so invested in a couple that I have never seen and will likely never see much less know!! LOVE THEM!!! Oh, and Anna is a very lucky woman….she has the most beautiful man on the planet!!!
