Joe Manganiello hinted that Alcide and Eric have a smack-down coming up, and Sookie will be involved (naturally – she has all the luck). Joe said, ”Obviously, Bill and Sookie have been having some problems, and Alcide is in a very interesting position as far as all of that goes. And Eric steps into the mix as well… Werewolves and vampires don’t like each other to begin with. You will wind up seeing Eric and Alcide together at some point. While I was being cast, I heard that they were looking for somebody as tall or taller than Alex because they wanted somebody who could square off against him.”
(In case you forget, Alexander Skarsgard is 6’4, and Joe Manganiello is 6’5. That’s a whole lot of man. I would like to add that I’m hoping they fight without shirts, but that’s just me…)
In addition to shirtless, I hope they also fight out in the rain. Maybe on slippery ground.

I’m rooting for a showdown in the rain, greek style, as Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence” plays in the background… * fit of nervous giggles * And I’m not even much of an Alcide fan… to be honest, IMHO so far his chemistry with sookie is pretty much non-existent.

hell yeah, greek style in the rain and down and dirty. my money’s on alcide. and here’s why: wolves are very possessive over their mates, they mate for life, he’s weighs more then eric, is taller and has weigh more muscles. if only he can get over that skank debbie.
Maybe I’m just being too literal here, but from what we’ve seen this season, a full-on supe smackdown between a 1000-year old vampire and even the biggest, best-ripped werewolf would end in under 8 secs, and very badly for the were. Face-off could mean just that – the Viking and Alcide exchange alpha male displays – lotsa snarly fang-flashing and intimidation poses. (Although the Greek wrestling thing has a certain charm…..hmmm)
