The cast of HBO’s vampiric sensation True Blood has only been back to work on their third season for a few days, but Rutina Wesley and Alexander Skarsgard say they’re already sinking their teeth into some bloody interesting storylines.

“There’s more of people with different agendas,” Skarsgard – who had a breakout season as his not-always-bad boy vampire Eric emerged as a contender for Sookie Stackhouse’s heart and soul – told TVGuideMagazine.com. “Sam’s got his stuff to deal with, his background and who he is, trying to figure that out. There might be some more tension between the vampire kingdoms and queendoms and they might introduce other creatures than just vampires.”

“There’s a lot of new characters that will be introduced,” confirms Wesley. “We’ve got some werewolves that are coming in. Everyone is back now, so it’ll be interesting to see how Tara deals with everything that happens with the last season. She’s got a lot grieving she has to do, but I have a feeling that someone’s going to come in and sweep her off of her feet. Then we’ve got Sookie there to help her out as well. They’re making a lot of people the focus. That’s the one thing that I love about being on the show – that it’s truly an ensemble. All of us have really good and meaty stuff to work on.”

Skarsgard said that Eric’s ancient history is going to be further explored during the season as well. “In Season 2 there was a flashback. We see when Eric was a Viking, and there will be another flashback. We’ll see Eric and someone else as a tag team – I don’t want to reveal from what era, but it’s a couple of really fun scenes.”

“It’s amazing because he’s been around for a thousand years and lived all over the world, so you can put him in any situation in any country,” said Skarsgard. “I want more of the stuff from his earlier days when he was in Scandinavia, during the Viking days. I’d love that because you don’t see much of that in movies or on television from that era – and obviously because I’m from Sweden I’m quite fascinated by it. It’s my heritage, that culture with the Vikings, and so hopefully we’ll get to see a little more of that.”

There are also some guest stars waiting in the wings: Wesley said she’s heard that actor Don Swayze, brother of the late Patrick Swayze, will appear on the show, and Skarsgard says there’s a well-known name who just might be making a visit to Bon Temps. “There’s one that I’m hoping we can get towards the end of Season 3,” he revealed. “It’s not official yet and something I’m pretty excited about – someone that I’d very, very much enjoy working with.”

So this show is going down the tubes, we know have Sookie not going find Bill right away, staying and helping Tara with her stuff, and now Eric is a contender for Sookie’s heart and Soul…I am done will not watch season 3 .

    • Lividity says:

Oh RC, you know you will not be able to keep yourself away from your television. I’m probably wrong, but I’m hoping that “We’ll see Eric and someone else as a tag team” turns out to be Bill & Eric. The camaraderie betwixt those two would be delightful to see. Course, I always want to believe they have a vast and varied background together.

  2. Aemac says:

Okay RC calm down. I’m not surprised Sookie isn’t going to look for Bill right away, but if she doesn’t look for him by the 2′nd epi that’s sort of ridiculous…..and how has Eric emerged as a contender for Sookie’s heart and soul? That just seems disgusting. If it’s at all possible that Sookie will fall for Eric and leave Bill behind, well…….I’m at a loss for words. How is that even possible? I’ll never be able to go there.

  3. shocknawe says:

We still have 6 loooonnnngg months to go before we really find out and I’m sure we’ll be hearing all sorts of things. AB did say Bill and Sookie would be apart longer than their advocates prefer so I’m not expecting them to be together for half the season – think the hint was ep 6. And the writers have implied that it’s way too soon to toss Eric and Sookie together – Bill just proposed to her and DAMNIT ALL TO HELL we need I will marry you sex.

I’ve vowed to try to not let anything depress me too much or make me too elated cuz it’s just too intense. BILL AND SOOKIE forever. It’ll break my heart if that’s not how it plays out. But I think I’ll stick with it as long as the story is compelling and we can see hot Bill, and you all are there to make it bearable.

  4. Konfettii says:

hehe my first thought was Bill nd Eric, too!
“Bill Compton. It has been a while….”
    Since what, I wonder…?
What a hoot that would be!!!

  5. ZZ says:

“vampire Eric emerged as a contender for Sookie Stackhouse’s heart and soul ”
that’s an opinion from TVguide, not an official word. (not saying it’s not true)

  6. jay says:

team bill fans need to calm down. Things are going to be said, and the truth will be twisted in a certain way. I always try to keep in mind that the show will always hype up the love triangle. I believe its going to last over the entire existance of the show, just like the books. Maybe we just have to trust that the show will do whats in the best interest of the show, it is ENTERTAINMENT after all … We all might be bill fans, but things might develop and we might find eric not so bad after all… I duno? All I know is that I love everything about the show, and all the charcters, and I’m willing to be entertained with whatever comes my way. Have faith!
I think the tag team will be eric and bill….it makes sense! and that would be awesome!!! Even in the books, despite their tension, they make a great team when it comes to conflicts, and protecting sookie.
Love everything about the show, cant wait for its return!!!

  7. jay says:

Ohh! I almost forgot about the guest stars….Wow! that would be awesome… i wonder who alex is talking about???

  8. Melanie says:

shocknawe.. my god.. have you read the books?? if so you would know what an incredible jerk bill turns out to be!! ugh the thought of him even around sookie makes me sick!!! and in the books.. bill NEVER proposes to sookie!!!

    • Lividity says:

      Hey Melanie,

One thing I just want to share is that most everyone commenting here has read the books. We’ve heard the whole song, “if only you’ve read the books” sung over and over and over again, and quite frankly it gets old having people tell some of us that we haven’t read them. there are several ways of interpretation.

Everyone is certainly welcome to post their opinion though.

    • Luv2 says:

get a grip and back your schat down.”Melanie”…..we are talking True Blood not Sookie Stackhouse blah blah;blah… you are not in Kansas any more

    • BillsNia says:

I have read the bookis twice over and I cannot understand all the love for Eric, and the hate and animosity thrown at Bill. Eric is a fun character but nothing else.
I would prefer to discuss only the show here since this is True Blood news, but that just never seems possible with some people.

Bill in the show is a wonderful tormented soul who lost so much when turned by the evil witch Lorena. He finally had the will to leave her after 60 plus years of her sweet careful teachings and nurturings. It amazing Bill is able to find any of his humantiy after that. But he has and is. He still has a long way to go, his vampire tendencies are still strong. Killing still comes easy but he is trying. He owes much of this to his newfound love for Sookie. He still has some secrets, but what ever they may be it will not change the fact that he loves Sookie and has shown it in so many ways, including sacrificing himself.

Vampires have throughout history have been secretive, thus it is hard for Bill to trust and tell.

Book Bill is not bad but he is different than show Bill. They are both victims of circumstance. I do not care for the books myself, they are entertaining but also simplistic and inconsistant. I prefer the show so much more. Better character development overall.

Eric is pretty much the same in books and show. He is manipulative, devious and has no qualms betraying anyone to achieve his ends. Being good in bed only takes you so far. BTW, Bill was awesome in bed too.
If Sookie loved Eric so much throughout the books, then why did she have flings with so many others??? Why did she not just stay with him. Wasn’t he perfect?? With Alcide she came very close to an affair. What about Quinn? If it werent for Sookies selfishness, Quinn was a pretty good guy.

Eric may have called Sookie “my lover” but that is a far cry from saying “I love you” which he never did. In Dead and Gone, the story starts out with Sookie not seeing Eric for months and then he just tricks her in to a vampire committment. She was furious!!!!!! So many have said that Bill was a liar and jerk and trying to tell her what to do, well, what about Eric. He is worse, For one example, In D & G after he tricks her with the ceremonial knife and she says and I quote,

“I felt the hair on the back of my neck rising at Eric managing my life like this”
“This is so High handed, I said in a joked voice, the sheer gall”
“How could you think I would let you commit me to something without talking about it first, we haven’t seen each other in months”

Erics reply, “I’ve been busy here”

What about this man is so worthy. He will always be bossy, arrogant, and manipulative. He has tried to run Sookies life more than Bill ever could or would.

In the books Eric is never there when Sookie needs him. He manages to always send someone else to do the job and then shows up later. My hero.

I do no hate anyone. Hate is such a strong word. I do not hate Eric. He is what he is. Personally I normally care not at all about comments about the books. The problem is the books are always brought up and the fine line between the books and the show becomes fuzzy and skewed and the nasty comments go flying off the walls.
My real focus is the show. I love the show and everyone in it. Yes I am a Bill/Stephen fan but that does not mean I do not enjoy Eric/Alex as well. They are both amazing. It is when I read all the negativity thrown at Bill that spills right over to Stephen. That I will not tolerate. It was and is uncalled for.

      • CitizenErased says:

I love it when people say everything that needs to be said for me and all I have to do is be a sarcastic bitch. Nice one BillsNia, you are totally bang on.

        • BillsNia says:

          Back at ya CE!

Why is it so hard for people to see whats right in front of their eyes??????
They cannot see because they choose not to.

Why is it so easy for people to be cruel and vicious to those who have done nothing to warrant it??????
Because it makes them feel better by making their own insecurities bearable.

Why is it that we care so much when we see the nastiness????
Because we love and respect our man.

Why is is that it hurts so much when we see the nastiness????
Because we love and respect our man.

      • NanaVamp says:

Thank you Nia… I love everything you said.
I wish I could be under control like you.

      • Aemac says:

Well said Nia. THANK YOU!!I Also Nia, funny you should say “I cannot understand all the love for Eric, and the hate and animosity thrown at Bill.”, as CH said something very similar on her site. HHMMMM!!!

  9. Melanie says:

ZZ read the books Eric is her heart, soul and life!!

    • CrazyforBill says:

I’m sorry Melanie, but that is not how we Bill lovers see it at all. Eric is selfish, lying, manipulative and arrogant. That’s how it is in the books too. Charlaine Harris has said that she doesn’t understand why there is all this Eric love. He is the BAD GUY! Bill is the tormented GOOD GUY!
I’m also wondering why, if you hate Bill so much, you are bothering with our site, unless you have a masochistic streak. The Red Wiki is full of people who share your opinion. You would certainly fit in there, so don’t let the door hit you on your way out. By the way, I am saying this with the utmost respect to you, as you are entitled to your opinion, however misguided it may be.
Please accept my best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

      • Lilly says:

It’s true CrazyforBill. Eric is a manipulative liar…as Bill says in TB, Eric has had centuries to experience…unlike him, for Bill one hundred years have been sufficient to be the liar he is!
In my opinion, there aren’t vampires good or bad,it’s too easy attribute a label like that to a character…we are all made of light and shadows! For me, there are vampires who accept their nature and others do not and trying to wear a mask…but the truth always comes back to the surface.
In the books, as well as in the tv show, vampires are metaphors…(but maybe Ms Harris and Mr Ball have also said…)everyone can interpret as it wishes and therefore to choose the character who prefers…I personally prefer a vampire who always shows himself for what it really is, a wampire who is the first to come in my aid,who understands me and laughts with me…all this I can’t see it in Bill, sorry!
In the show, it’s clear, for me, that Bill doesn’t understand well Sookie, many times he wants to make decisions for her…and to hide the truth is never a way to protect someone but just lie!
Regarding the third season, I can’t wait to see how Ball will recreate the book 3, new characters (Go Lorena XD ) Ball can make all the changes he wants, the most important thing is that he doesn’t upset the plot of the book!
then, it’s normal that Sookie says she loves Bill, after all, he was her first love, she lost her virginity with him…she will remeber him forever…but “true love” is something else XD for me, it’s Eric… only that Sookie still doesn’t realize it… We’ll see girls… XD
last thing… rape IS rape! no IS no! there are no excuses and if someone can’t recognize it, I’m so sorry… and in any case Bill should have to feel that the girl was Sookie…

Peace and Love… Long live the Viking XD

PS: ZZ I’m glad you say that everyone is welcome in this place… it’s nice to discuss with people who don’t have blinders…

      • NanaVamp says:

Hi CB; you and all of the BBW posters ROCK!!
All of you know how I feel about Sookie, so I am kinda hoping for this loving union between Eric and Sookie.. They are both manipulative, self-centered, and you said it, LYERS!

    • Aemac says:

As I don’t remember that in the books can you give me book and page number, please.

    • ZZ says:

I have read the books dear… and I keep seeing them like a love story between Bill and Sookie. But I’m fine that everyone interprets them in a different way.

  10. Lizzie says:

Well, I don’t care that the books portrayed Bill in a different light – it is all a matter or perspective on how you read the books. I see Bill as being between a rock and a hard place – he had to do things beyond his control because of his position in the Vampire World. He was not high enough up the ladder to say no and he was still bound by Lorena and had to do what she wanted. If you read CH’s responses to questions about the edict blah blah, it would seem Bill was sent to protect Sookie.

How about you re-read the books again and try and see it through Bill’s perspective? It may give you a shock.

By the way, we have read the books and guess what! We still prefer Bill!! Thank heavens True Blood is Alan Ball’s take on the series and not CH’s!! At least AB gives a clearer picture.

  11. Mony says:

    ok….
few week ago Ball and Harris revealed that Season 3 will be very closed to Book 3 one of Charlaine favourite….is the book of Sookie and Bill break up….and Charlaine love it, that’s said a lot about how she loves Eric….
I follow all comments that she made in the years, she always said that Eric is one of her favourite and that she loves his relationship with Sookie and that Bill and Sookie will never have a rmantic relation again in the book and that Sookie and Eric will be the two sure survivors of the Saga…..Bill supposed to die in Book 9 but her editors said to save him for 3 more books..
Sookie and Eric are married in the books is a vampirical way and in book 10 they’re a couple…
Eric loves her more than we could immagine, always protected her, never harmed her as Bill did….he raped her in book 3 and Charlaine too is a survivor of a rape….Did you see the similarities????

Eric in True Blood need time to emerge and to let us know how much is loyal and could care of her and fall for her….Eric is badass, manipulative an arrogant but that’s the Sceriff….Eric with Sookie will be and in the book IS different, listen to her, is proud of her and in book 9 he reveald her how much he love her Soul and Personality…..not her Body…they laugh so hard togther and Sokie always said that Eric get her…..that’s Love dosen’t matter if you say it or not….acts worth ten time than words….

Talking about the show…well Ball said that Sookie and Eric are fated and writers said that they’re going in Sookie and Eric direction but they rememeber us to be patience becouse even in the book everything is very sloooooow!!!
Bill and Sookie have a connection that will never die Ball said, well a connection not a relationship and in the books they still have this connection but heart and soul of Sookie are always Eric’s….
Bill lied to her for 6 books about the real reason why he is in Bon Temps….if Eric is not honest, what about Bill??Bill who always said how much he want to mainstream….

Ball is a Team Bill becouse Bill is a real vampire….he TRY to be human but his instinsct are to acts as a vampire, he never let her speak, answer for etc ans so on….Eric WANT to be vampire but with Sookie he finds that his instincts are Human…so he’s not 100% vampire….that’s why Ball loves Bill…..

I know True Blood is not as the books, but Season 2 was very very similar and Season 3 according to Ball will be very loyal to the Book…
Harris loves Eric so much…is one of her favourite to write becouse is funny and he has a lot to say….he has a dark side but a good one too, especially with Sookie….he’s ready to die for her……
the latest comment that seem negative are only marketing becouse Ball revealed about Bill kill of in book 9 and all fans were very sad…we shoul be able to read between the line……

Soory I know is a looong comment!!!!!!!

    • Lividity says:

Thank you for your comment. But one thing stands out… “….he’s ready to die for her……” Actually, in the books I believe that Bill said he was ready to die for her but when Bill asked Eric if he would, Eric actually said no – as that wouldn’t accomplish anything. I am sure that someone out there has the exact dialogue.

      • Mony says:

nope…in book 7 is ready to die whn she takes the bomb…how many bullets or silver chain did he got for her?in the Books Bill never put himself in danger….that’s True Blood not the books…Eric never say no, not in the books, we’ll see it maybe in Ball’s show who know…but Eric and Nial (grandfather of Sookie) protect her but she doesn’t know….when Bil ask if he’s ready to die Eric aswer is ” and more pertinenly you should know that if someone harm her force that you cannot immagine will be in action”…becouse Eric and Eric’s Gran are protecting her….in Book 3 we know by a Pam’s comment that Eric send her to stay around Sookies house…whn Pam said to sookie that is not the first time she run from Bont Temp to Shevereport….Eric from the books is great….care about her has never didi befor and beve never and ver will harm her….sorry it’s just my opinion but i0m not so addicted to someone who rapes his girl…it’s so sad and cruel,,,omg!

BTW everyone should stay with his favourite…no one has to change is preference…and True Bllod is a great show becouse Ball is a genius!!!!!!
who knows where he’s going with Sookie Bill or Eric….we just have to wait and see…..

        • Aemac says:

And once again another delusional Eric rabid. You seem to have misquoted not only Alan Ball, but Charlaine Harris in almost every one of your statements. No matter what happens in the future with True Blood, Alan Ball has stated that Sookie and Bill have an authentic love and that their relationship is the core of the show. Will Bill and Sookie always be together in the show, of course not. Will Eric give up all for Sookie in show or book, of course not. Will Sookie always be a skank in the books. of course.

And CE, I want one of those shirts. Hear us LIv?

          • Lividity says:

            What colors you want?

          • Mony says:

sorry your opinion is your and mine is mine…
i’m not a teenager who’s looking for a verbal fight….i’m only saiyng what i’ve read and what i’ve listens from Ball’s voice….Sookie and Bill have a connection…connection not a relationship…..Ball said few day ago, searching for it, that he cannot change everything becouse Harris has the right of the books, he can change something but not the main theme, and main theme is Sookie and his lovers adn sookie findind what she is, or lover becouse in the end her heart is with Eric even if she sooo scared…
and btw…Harris said that in her blog Bill and Sookie will never have a romantic connection again, not me….if she love Bill so much she would never planned to kill him in book 9….
I’ve read the book in an adult world….and adult go on…and Sookie is going on after her First love, sh’e searchin her Real love….

that’s all….different point of view…we’ll see in the future and we’ll watch in True Blood what happens…..

          • Aemac says:

I want a choice please, maybe a dark brown. What do you think?

        • NanaVamp says:

I’ll respect your opinion………….I only have one question, and that is, Why are you posting on the Bills Wiki’d Women site aka the Blue Wiki?? I think you meant to turn left and continue to the Red Eric Wiki.

    • ZZ says:

      wrong.
“I follow all comments that she made in the years, she always said that Eric is one of her favourite and that she loves his relationship with Sookie and that Bill and Sookie will never have a rmantic relation again”

she said literally, Sookie and Bill will never have the same relationship again. In a later post, she said “it could be better.

“Sookie and Eric are married in the books is a vampirical way and in book 10 they’re a couple…” don’t forget that Sookie was teased to get married and she was not concious of that fact.

I won’ t comment on the supposed rape, too many things have been said on the way but as you like to quote CH, she has commented that she didn’t think it was a rape.

“writers said that they’re going in Sookie and Eric direction but they rememeber us to be patience becouse even in the book everything is very sloooooow!!!”

they also said that things may not come as we expect them as TB is a different thing from the books.

“they laugh so hard togther and Sokie always said that Eric get her…..that’s Love dosen’t matter if you say it or not….”

i also remember, in book 9, while sookie is in bed with eric, she is thinking in Bill and says something like”how weird, being in bed with one man and be thinking in another” (anyone is welcome to quote)

just saying. Some things you said seemed quite unexact to me.

      love

  12. CitizenErased says:

Oh jaysus, not again. I think we need a ‘I have read the books, I’m still Team Bill, now fuck off!’ t shirt for the shop, ladies. Would sell like hotcakes. As for these spoilers, meh *yawns*

    • CrazyforBill says:

Bravo, CE and TC, for calling it like it is. And here I thought I would catch hell for my previous rather nasty reply to Melanie. There are obviously some Eric rabids so blind, that they cannot see, much less read and understand. I guess we all read a different set of books. Alan Ball is free to do whatever he wants on True Blood, no matter what the rabids think. How many times do we have to repeat what Alan Ball has said over and over again: The Bill and Sookie LOVE story is the central theme of the show. Connection, shmonection! Stop splitting hairs in false hope.
I guess I am just sick of some people spreading their hatred of Bill, while their beloved Eric gets away with all kinds of bad behaviour. Eric is a badass, he is not a romantic hero, but it doesn’t mean I don’t find his amusing sometimes., and I try not to spread hatred of him on other threads.
Since this is the Bill’s Wiki’d Women site, it would be nice if we got some respect, y’all. We are not changing our minds about our Bill. We love him and that’s that!
And for the last fucking time, IT WAS NOT RAPE!!!

  13. Tania says:

Well girls, we’ll see in the third and fourth seasons….I think Mony is right…Alan said he would have follow the books…and i believe him….in the book Bill and Sookie don’t stay together….i’m sorry….

    • Tincar says:

Alan Ball is bond by contract to follow an “outline” of the books. If he was following the books then Bill would not have killed LS and our beloved Laf would be dead. Eric is supposed to have a love interest in this coming season, and it has been hinted at it will be a dancer from the club.

Sookie, now wears Bill’s ring on her finger, which is NOT in the books. What do you think it would do to her image if she was with Eric in the third season? She is in love – she excepted Bill’s proposal and now he is missing. Logically, to think that she can easily discard her love for someone so quickly makes her character…shallow. This will scar her “good girl” image that Alan as built for her. I don’t think she will easily give it up to another man, like she did in the books, especially with a ring on her finger.

IMO – Alan is trying hard to fulfill is obligation to the contract. He has brought in stuff that happen past the third book and once he has fulfilled his contract, he is done with the books. I don’t believe Alan will easily discard such an intriguing character as Bill Compton as Harris did (before she change her mind and decided to keep Bill around due to his popularity.)

Also, please look back at all the interviews of the cast including Alan Ball, they all continuously comment on how they are pulling away from the books but respectfully stay within the “framework.” of the series.

  14. Aemac says:

Hey Tania, do you have the URL for where AB said that? I do remember him saying he would stay true to the spirit of CH’s books(what ever that actually means) and he would pull plot lines from the books that worked on TV. In buying the rights to the characters, AB does have the legal right to do what he wishes with the characters and their development on TB. As CH has stated AB cannot tell her how to write the books and she cannot tell AB how write the TV show.

And Mony, we are not Eric haters on here, but I think we like to stick with facts and hope AB does his own thing…..and most of the regular commenters on this site have read the books. Thanks for coming on and stating your opinion. :)Your always welcome.

    • rc says:

“At the beginning of each season, we go through the books, pick out the points we really love, and pick out the points we think would make a great cliffhanger moment at the end of an episode. Then we start to wrap the other characters in… Then sometimes we’ll look at something that happens in the book, and we’ll say, “Maybe it might work better if we just change this.”“

He goes through all books and picks what he wants to use.

  15. tabitha says:

    i know i will really miss bill…
but it is not bad to see sookie and eric stay together just for a whlie…
AB said that although bill and sookie don’t stay together in the book, their relationship in this tv drama will least forever .becoz they are doomed to stay together (at least in real life =] )

  16. shocknawe says:

OMG – an invasion of the rabid’s!

Yes, as someone says we have all read the books, some multiple times. Just because we are not Eric fans doesn’t mean we are stupid or ill-informed. As of Book 10 I find no place where Sookie says she loved anyone but Bill, not Eric, not Quinn, not Alcide – no one. If you can find me a quote where she professes love for Eric or anyone but Bill I’d love to see it. Yet at the end of Book 10 she mentions Bill and that she loved him again.

Those who advocate for Eric are welcome to do so. We love Bill. The rest is just blah blah blah, and gets people all pissed off and cranky. I’d prefer to spend my time lusting after my guy.

you’re talking about book 9 not 10….she never said he loved Eric, i nevers said he admited that….you know whr you’re betrayed as the way didi with her, raped her and lie about the real intent why he’ìs in Bon Temps i think it’ snot easy to fall in love again..
In the end of book 9 she saw for a moment the man she loved but that doesn’t mean the will get back together….i see Sookie forgibe him for everything but go on with her life, and even if i love Eric and Sookie i’m still open that her final love coul be Sam or even Quinn..or no one!!!…
Book 10 will be realeased in May and Sookie and Eric are seattled into a relationship and we’ll have a love scene between them….if that mean she finally choose i don’t think so…Sookie is complicated and sometimes no tto sure….she pretend a lot, but i’m still thinking the Eric is the one becouse he’s patience with her and alway give her what she wants….he saved her life many time ah always is by her side, he loves her, not matter if he say it aout loud or note…better to not sayibg it than say it and then srew uo everything as Bill did..

In Book 3 Sookie is raped, i’m kind of shock that athers women didn’t see as raped becouse Harris defently said he was a rape and becouse Harris too was raped!!!!!!OMG!

It’s my opinion…and this is about the books….i don ‘t know about True Blood, but i don’t see that ring staying on Sookies’ finger fot too long…
I know for sure what’ i’ve read and Ball saii that he cannot changed averything and espacially the soul fo the book (wich are not B/S but only Sookie…) becouse the only one who can change it is Harris becouse of the rights she has with the editors….I dont’ t think it’s complicated, I always know that when someone buy a commerciali rights about a book he Has to respect them and not screw up everything….but can change something of course….

Here the article where Ball said Sookie and Eric are fated and are going to be together
      http://www.tvguide.com/News/True-Blood-Tidbits-1010929.aspx
ok this is very spoiler alert where Ball said Eric will be prominent in next Season and Ball revealed that Eric’s feeling for Sookie are deeper than the fact I want her becouse Bill Has her

here you can find many thing CH said about Sookie /Bill or Eric

      sorry for my english ladies!!!

      • Aemac says:

I think we all agree that AB said Sookie and Eric are fated to be together, but in no way did he say whether or not it was in a romantic way. Don’t forget, at this point in the game any feelings that Sookie has towards Eric, Eric has forced on her, against her will.

Using the exact same source in reference to the following: ok this is very spoiler alert where Ball said Eric will be prominent in next Season and Ball revealed that Eric’s feeling for Sookie are deeper than the fact I want her becouse Bill Has her

“I can’t tell you if they’re going to get together, because that’s going to ruin the anticipation. But, if you’ve been following season two, he’s definitely been doing things to make her more vulnerable and more susceptible to him. And he does want her, he’s just not sure why. I think it’s deeper than just, ‘I want her because Bill Compton has her.’ Although that’s part of it, because Eric is a total alpha-dog.”

AB does not say anything about Eric’s feelings for Sookie, those are your words and your interpretation. It does state that Eric is making Sookie vulnerable and more susceptible to him. In my opinion, that’s a bit on the conniving side and not on the loving side.

When it comes to CH and the books, I’ll leave those alone. This is a True Blood site and not a book site, when I wish to discuss the books I go to CH’s site.

Thanks for the time it took to put all the URL’s down Mony. I think I might have rambled.

      • shocknawe says:

Aren’t you glad I’m not mis-informed :) Of course your are correct – my error – my the last book was book 9. I’m afraid it doesn’t convince me that you are correct on other assumptions so we can agree to disagree.

        • Mony says:

I just reported what i’ve read and what i’ve read in Harris’ blog..all those were her wprds not mine…if you want to check in her blog you will find them becouse the girl who wrote this in her forum is also active in Harris forum too….
..that’s all….I believe in Ball he has done a great Job, and about the feelingd For Sookie, well is just a factor of time….
BTW Ball confirmed that In Season 4 Eric will have Amnesia….
I guess that before Eric we can precoccupied about our good looking Wolf Alcide….
it’s not my intepretetaion of Ball…He said “they are fated…he doen’t want her becouse of Bill”…that mean a lot about him…
I am able to read…i went at school….
I know that all of you sadi tha “we don’t hate Eric fans” or “you can write your opinion” but believe me this is not a really swett welcome here becouse you dont’ want to discuss but just let to know to the others that your opinion is kind of edict and this is not a good way to create a good vibe here….i would like to discuss in a positive way with you but i don’t think you will acept it….

I reported all those link becouse i’ve found it useful for our cnversation, i have not purpose in gave you a fake link…becouse i have a forum too about true blood wich is partener with a lot of true blood major site…so i really have not interest in report fake news…..

          Bye Bye

          LOL Shockwave. You, misinformed??
          Hugs

  17. wing says:

yup.. although they won’t be together in the book, i think AB would like to keep their relationship in the drama.
becoz bill and sookie just like doomed to stay togather in the drama, even it the real life
i think it is odd to change sookie’s mind in season3 seen the proposal in season2 is touching and the end is heartbreaking

  18. ZZ says:

As one of the supporters of TBN I would like to say that I can argue, discuss with anyone, but EVERYONE is WELCOME in this place. really.

  19. Tania says:

Sure i can give you a link…well, i didn’t find out the article where Ball talks about the show but i found an interview to Charlaine where she said:

“The third season will be the third book, but the show may go off on its own at any point.”

    here’s the link http://truebloodnet.com/charlaine-harris-talks-books-true-blood/

i’m so sorry for Bill’s fan…i was a fan too…until i read book six…and until i saw season two….but i don’t hate Bill Compton..i like him…i just trying to say that the major part of the story will be telled by Alan Ball…he may change something of course, but he can’t change the heart of the story….but don’t worry, Stephen won’t be marginalized at all….

  20. konfettii says:

I admit it. I had sex with Tiger Woods.

Oh damm, wrong forum, my bad….

    • Lividity says:

LOL! KF! Haven’t seen you for ages woman! Hope all’s swell!

    • Aemac says:

No KF, at this point a Tiger Woods forum would be more then welcome.

      • CitizenErased says:

Tiger Wood’s list of ho’s is certainly more interesting than this same old shit caused by those goddamn books. Which I have read and walked away from with a completely different interpretation than the sheeple that are bleating all over the frigging internet. That tshirt can’t come soon enough, get onto it Liv!

  21. CitizenErased says:

Pshaw. Theres sod all that we didn’t know in this article, so why is it causing so much beef? I declare that this kind of argument is going to be all too common in the coming months. How tedious. Everyone is welcome to express their opinions on this lovely site of ours, but warning, we will come out of the woodwork and argue with you, Team Eric *fangy smirk*

  22. Kendra says:

Well I don’t comment too often on this site, but I love reading them. Like most of you I have read the books and have my opinions regarding Eric and Bill. I’d first like to address “Bill” fans and ask what did Eric do that was so terrible to condemn him as the scum of the earth? I realize that no one has referred to him as scum but I certainly feel the hatred flowing off my monitor. When did Eric lie or hurt Sookie? Ok so he’s munipulative, but he’s playing the political game and that’s pretty much a prerequisite if he wants to remain Sherrif. Also I’d like to ask what did Bill do that has redeemed him of all the pain and hurt he has caused Sookie? Just because he said that he would die for Sookie that absolves him of all his transgressions?

Now to the “Eric” fans, I’d like to make a few points. Sookie has never said that she loves Eric and sure they are married, but there is nothing romantic about the arrangement; and that’s what it is an arrangement. A buisness arrangement to keep the new king from taking advantage of Sookie’s gift. In fact Sookie isn’t even sure if she loves Eric at all and is still trying to make sence of the blood bond. Plus I think Sookie is the kind of woman that doesn’t take to kindly to Eric’s “high handedness” (book 9 in case your wondering). Eric takes too many liberities in making decissions for other people. He may do it with good intentions, but he should learn to ask first. I know that would drive me crazy.

Also keep in mind that in book 9 it was about forgiveness between Sookie and Bill. That doesn’t mean that they are going to get back together, it just means a new relationship has emerged. I’m hoping for a stronger friendship. I admit that I’m an Eric fan, but I don’t hate Bill either. Sure I hated him for a few books, but I did learn to see his point of view and maybe even sympathise with him, but I don’t feel Sookie should go back to him. In fact I’m hoping Sookie will end up with Sam once she has really discovered who she is as a person. I think she is still learning who she is and what she is capable of.

As for the show let’s give AB a break. Sure he has to remain true to the overall feel of the story, but he has to tell it in a way that will both excite the viewers that have or have not read the books. I think we’re getting to hasty when it comes to Bill and Eric. Remember that Bill is missing for the majority of book 3 and we get to meet Alcide. As for Eric, sure they have a fling in book 4, but Eric has memory loss and Sookie doesn’t get back together with him until book 9 after he finally remembers everything. So cut AB some slack and allow him to tell the story in a new and refreshing way and stop getting your shirts in a knot. I know I’m looking forward to season 3 to see how those elements form the books will be brought visually to the screen. AB is taking the opportunity to explore the characters that justifies their path in life. Well that’s my 2 cents worth and I’m looking forward to reading more comments and seeing how others view this wildly entertaining saga.

    • Liz79 says:

Hey Kendra – Good to hear your opinion. However, that’s not hate you’re picking up on, at least from the regulars, that’s spirited defense. Most of us came here because we love Bill and we love Stephen. Heck we call ourselves Bill’s Wikid Women. The folks who post here are awesome enough to run this site are remarkable even-keeled, level headed, polite and respectful. I don’t buy into this whole who should get Sookie nonsense. Because frankly I’d be happy as long as Bill is happy. But I just want to clear up the fact that this isn’t a place you’ll find hate flowing off the monitor.

      • Kendra says:

I was being a bit sarcastic about the hate flowing off the monitor, and I have nothing but love for a spirited debate. I’m sure another topic will come up and I’ll feel compelled to put my 2 cents worth in again. I do ask that you leave some room for the Eric, Sam, and Quinn lovers as well. After all it’s a True Blood site not a Bill site. By the way to those who run this site, your doing a fangtastic job (pardon lame pun) so keep up the good work.

        • Liz79 says:

Don’t worry, look around and you’ll see we’ve got mad love for all things True Blood (shout out to Team Bellefleur). If you’re looking for spirited, sane debate this is the place. We’re protective of Stephen/Bill but like everyone above has said all are welcome.

          • Lividity says:

            Crawling out of an early evening snooze, Team Bellefleur gives you {{{{high 5′s!}}}}}

And really… there’s so much goodness to be had, let’s not eat each other ok?

    • Luv2 says:

“what did Eric do that was so terrible to condemn him as the scum of the earth? “.
…surely you jest……I refuse to waste my time dignifying this ludicrous question

  23. CitizenErased says:

Cast your eyes to the right if you’re fed up with this brainwashed Bookie bullshite and behold our new t shirts from our super awesome fan store. Excellent job Liv!

    • TBObsessed says:

Or how about an “I thought about reading the books, but now I don’t have to thanks to you” shirt? Honestly, all this debate makes me not want to read them! I just want to enjoy the show and not whine about what got changed from the books or obsess about what is going to be included from the series in the future.

      • Aemac says:

Good for you TBO. If you read the books after seeing the show it seems the majority of viewers don’t like the books and that’s the category I fall into. Knowing what could possibly happen has taken a lot of pleasure out of TB for me. I continue watching because I really like Steve Moyer, the B/S relationship and the hope/faith that AB will make it better then the books.

        Enjoy the show TBO!

        • NCB says:

I read the books after watching the first season too. IMHO the character that I actually dislike the most from the books is Sookie. After Book One she’s just too whiny and it’s Me, Me Me. I ended up just wanting to slap her and say, “Grow up and take charge of your own life.”

To get back to the subject and to quote someone else, Bill is a character between and rock and a hard place and is just plain fascinating. Not to mention sexy. Eric is interesting too as a character, but he’s not the be all and end all in either the books or the series.

I admit that Bill has flaws, and so does Eric and all of the characters. That’s why I like TB. There are lots of shades of black, white and gray.

And all the acrimonous debate is what drove me to BWW. I tried the Red for about a week and couldn’t stand all the hysterics on behalf of Eric. I couldn’t get a word in without being slapped down.

Not to mention that Stephen Moyer is a great actor that I’d never heard of until TB and is very sexy himself. I’ve recently seen of his work before TB and all it does is confirm to me that he has serious acting chops (not to mention that he personifies that old cliche that “the camera loves him”) and that Anna is a very, very lucky woman.

  24. Lizzie says:

Well, that took a half hour or so out of my life! I hope all the air is cleared, now!

I am so glad this is a True Blood site and not the Ch Bookies site. I love our banter and love for our boy Bill.

It is not that I hate Eric – he does have some funny lines, I just can’t tolerate rabid Eric fans who try to force feed the Bill is Bad, Bill is liar, Bill is a rapist shit. Sorry! Go over to the Red for that. I like the peace and quiet of the Blue. I love my Bill’s Wiki’d Women – I found sanctuary over here from the Red after having my jugular ripped apart on numerous occasions by Book Erics – I just want eternal peace over here. You girls are welcome any time – just don’t try and convert us!

Liv, I want one of those t-shirts, you know, “I’ve read the books blah blah!”

  25. ZZ says:

Hey there! This is getting old…

So I will say same things i’ve been saying once more…

    1. Everyone has the right to have an opinion.

    2. If people don’t like what they read in other’s opinion and don’t wanna discuss it in a sporty way, just change the article or the screen or the site.

    3. One of the most recurrent and natural theme in the books and in the TV show, is Bill and Eric. So I don’t see anything wrong in discussing it as long it is done from respect.

    4. Remember, we are here because a TV show. To have fun. Not to be pissed off all day.

I’m myself a fan of Bill and Sookie relationship, though I don’t hate Eric. When I confront themes that disgust me, like “was it a rape” “is it love or it is not” etc I JUST WALK AWAY!!! not because I don’t have anything to say, but because I’m tired of discussions that won’t lead to any place. But this is my choice.

When we quote things people have said, it’s a sign of politeness and respect to the others source them with a link. Because misinterpretations happen.

Please have fun, and remember we are all nice people (?) no matter our religion, politics or who would we screw first.

    love!!!

NanaVamp – yes, Liv has made this t-shirt and apparently it is up and running at the Shop! Check it out!
