Joe Manganiello talked to Jethro at Zap2It at Comic-Con about his new job as a series regular on True Blood and where his character will go from season three. He’s not hard to look at and you gotta love his enthusiasm for his “dream job”!

Joe seems like a nice guy, unfortunately his character Alcide is the most boring one on the show.

I think Alcide is a good character. We just have not seen enough of him yet.But we will.Wait until that bitch Debbie starts in on Alcide. He’s still in love with her (is he dumb or what?) and she’ll cause nothing but problems all the way.

Is there a voting booth somewhere? Yes to NH and many more KRE fans among us: Russell to stay, Alcide can stay in the background, and Crystal and the Panther Poo mob should never have come in the first place.

Alcide may be a bit boring now but he sure is nice to look at!!! :D

i like the actor and i like the character….I liked the pack master fight, and pack wars that went on in the books and i think those will be a good contrast and a good break away from the vampire world. Having alcide there just creates more dimension in the super natural aspect of the show….You have the vampz, you have the shifter representation in sam and now tommy. It makes sense to have the werewolves up in there, and frankly i think it was inevitable they were gonna add alcide to the series, did not surprise me but it surprises me that people are surprised by it! lol
i guess like last season with maryanns arc and how they dragged on, it seems like the crystal and alcide arcs will take their time to flourish we should give the characters a chance.

Alcide is a bit underwhelming right now, but he’s still hung up on Debbie and a reluctant participant in what’s going on so far which makes him a bit cranky. I think (hope) he’ll be more interesting once he has a larger personal investment in the action.
