True Blood‘s Alan Ball has dropped hints about the future for Sookie and Bill. The couple, played by Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, have been apart for much of the third season.
“I will say this,” Ball told Entertainment Weekly. “Even if they come back together, not all is well.”
Ball also revealed that the structure of the finale will be different from last year, saying: “It’s not the same. It doesn’t converge quite the same way and not quite as early in the episode.”
When asked who is on screen at the end of the season, he replied: “I can tell you that in the very final shot of the season – no-one.”

i wonder if he means no-one is in the final shot of the season as the current characters? maybe the last shot of the season will have a new season 4 character? or maybe those behind the scenes photos of stephen and alex that popped up a while ago is a hint?
im not sure if bill and sookie will be together after what im assuming he does in the next episode is pretty bad, just observing the anguish on bills face in the preview. Maybe they will try, but it will get to a phase where there are too many obstacles! I hope they do try! Gosh I feel for bill :(
Can any1 recall if AB confirmed the newlins are back for season 3? if they are the warnings that claudine and bill give in different up coming episodes will refer to not just lorena (if shes not dead by the next episode), russell, debbie pelt and now the newlins maybe? Have I left out any other sookie-enemies? awww poor sook!!!
I think its a fade to black, making the last shot a black screen. I’m involved in that kind of stuff so im telling you: a black last shot is actually really common. I’ll try to explain.
Fade to white is often used to suggest or to follow a death so thats good I guess!!! :) a final black shot with silence is often shown after a shocking ending or a big surprise. So that would make sense.This is the season finale… Of TRUE BLOOD!

i totally understand where your coming from. Almost every episode ends in a fade to black doesnt it? i dont know much about that and obviously you do so i wont try pretend :) hehe
i was actually making a theory on who is or what is the last thing we will see? not so much the final shot because it is fairly obviously the last shot will be no-one….haha AB your sneaky!
the recent post mortem episode with nan flanagan, the newlins were mentioned and apparantly are in the midst of a divorce…So if the newlins were to show up, I would think it would only be steve newlin.
Bill and sookie will try to stay together, but it will be incredibly hard to get back to that happy place they were at in season 2. We may see them by seasons end separate. If I can refer to the books; they do separate at the end of book 3 although bill is always around and none of the feelings for each other have changed despite whats happens..It looks like the show will follow this pattern, obviously do it in their own way!
This is all stuff AB said at Comic-Con and it reveals nothing, the same way those cleverly edited teasers reveal nothing. Entertaining but rather meaningless.
It could be Nyall at the end of the final!!!!!
I don’t think Alan Ball will wait the season 7 to make us discover this character!!!
After all, in books Sookie discover she’s a fairy et meets his grand-grand father in same times…. this will be logical…for the show. She will discover her origins in the next episodes, so I think we will meet Nyall Brigand!!!!
meeting niall early does make sense. But I wonder how she will meet him? Will he just appear to her, or will he meet sookie through eric like the books? Personally I think its highly unlikely they will follow how the books did it. The show bill and sookie have much more of a meaningful relationship, so if niall was to meet sookie through some1 it will be bill! Which kinda sucks because the way the books set it out I liked it but the show is different so I will look forward to what they come up with!!

Awesome, I love the Terminator movies, except for that last one with Christian Bale. That blew dust bunnies threw a straw. So Skynet is the Big Bad in S4 of TB?
Yep. I’ll bet you didn’t see that coming. Skynet also contaminated the swamps near Bon Temps, and that’s why there are so many supes there. It’s also the reason why Sookie has magical hands and special brain. The Stackhouse parents were killed because they found out about Skynet’s toxic dumping. I can only hope Niall goes back in time and sends in Kyle Reese to fix everything.
Couldn’t bring myself to watch the Bale one. I am mostly just a fan of the first one. But that’s only because I used to hang out at Club Noir, you know … on Pico.
That place is real? AWESOME. ;-) I have deluxe DVD versions of the first three and usually sit down to watch them back-to-back at least once a year. But yeah, Skynet being the Big Bad makes a lot of sense. I’ll bet KRE’s on the side of The Machines …
