Time with Alex and Ryan – what a dream come true!!!!!
Awesome!
Hope they raise a lot of money for a great cause!
I wish they were coming to Michigan so I could meet them.. :( But I would be a dream come true since those are my two favorite characters! :)
I agree with that person who commented on the auction to have lunch with Kristen and Alex…make it a raffle so some of us ‘poor’ folks have a chance. After all how many of us have an extra 28K gathering dust in these “bla bla tough economic times bla bla?”
Say tickets/chances are $10 a pop. One thousand people buying 1 ticket each = $10,000. Five hundred
people buying 2 tickets each = $10,000. Two hundred people buying 5 tickets each = $10,000. I imagine it’s a lot easier to set up an auction rather than a raffle? But I don’t stand a chance in an auction and yet I’d like to participate.
My 2 cents worth.
You realize that these are run by principals at HBO and they solely decide how they are done. Also, raffles are, by rule, against the rules of paypal.
Raffles or lotteries…I’m sure there would be a way to do it. Honestly, think they’d probably raise even more $$ cuz more people would participate . Most people won’t even bother with an auction cuz they know they dont have a chance against wealthy participants. With a lottery, if you’re talking $10 tickets , you’d get people who would buy a whole bunch and people who could only afford one ticket, but in the end the charity would win . Historically , lotteries have alwys been a means to raise huge amounts of $ in a short period of time . People love them becuase when they’re run correctly, they’re so fair , everyone has a shot…
It’s something that should be considered by the powers that be…I’d bet on the final $$ being massive. JMO
Tell that to paypal.
